I wrote this essay on a topic of Family Law during my second year at university and entered it in a competition run by Vardag’s. To my surprise – because I was not a law student – it won a runner-up prize and was published on their website (linked at bottom of page).

A short story
In 2020, I won a Best Character prize in a writing competition from the Historical Association for a short story. It was inspired by the true events of the Newport Chartist uprising of 1839 which resulted in multiple deaths.
